Matanyahu Englman (58), is the State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel from July 2019, And President of Eurosai from May 2024.
One of his first innovations was to establish a cyber- security audit division, to examine the state’s conduct towards one of the significant threats.
Before Mr. Englman was appointed as the State Comptroller and Ombudsman, he was the Director General of the Council for Higher Education, Executive Vice President and Director General of the Technion, Chairman of the Directors’ Forum of the Heads of University Committee, and C.E.O. of Shoham Local Council.
Englman is a CPA, and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting and a master’s degree in business administration, both with honor from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
