Colonel Nir Weingold is a distinguished military officer known for his contributions to defense strategy and innovation. Colonel Weingold serves as the Head of Planning, Economics and IT department at the Directorate of Defense R&D in the Israeli Ministry of Defense (his role is equivalent to Chief Integration Officer). Col. Nir Weingold is in charge of budget allocation, planning process, developing IT systems and deploying IT infrastructures. Moreover, Weingold facilitates collaboration between startups, VCs, accelerators and the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D) within the Israeli Ministry of Defense, integrating cutting-edge technologies into defense systems.
He holds a BA in Economics and Management with honors from the College of Management Academic Studies and an MSC in Management Sciences from Tel Aviv University. He was recognized in Globes 40 under 40 for 2024 for his leadership and impact in defense and technology.
