Emerging digital economies leapfrogging into integrating advanced digital tools into government, services and industries from e-visa systems to an increasingly digitalized supply chain. The race to add in AI-enabled elements across all processes so as not to fall behind is not being matched by the same investments into baseline cyber measures the digital maturity -security gap is widening against a backdrop of rapidly increasing need. Recent initiatives such as the GC3B Accra Call that aims to move cyber capacity building as an integral part of international development, the Common Good Cyber initiative that aims to support universal access to critical cybersecurity support, and increasingly innovative programs from development banks and governments in their international development programs to enable all economies to have the tools to reap the benefits of the AI revolution for sustainable development, economic growth and social progress.
We at TAU ICRC are proud to contribute to the international cyber capacity building through scientific research and knowledge sharing and convening this important conversation at Cyber Week each year. In this roundtable, we will bring together key stakeholders from governments, international institutions, donor organizations, the private sector and academia to assess the impact of the most recent initiatives to close the cyber capacity gap. We will also explore creative solutions that look to approaches to cyber poverty that can be scaled at pace to ensure that no country is left behind.
