Dr. Brook specializes in copyright law, the media & entertainment industry and artificial intelligence (AI).

He is a partner and head of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) at S. Horowitz & Co., one of Israel’s foremost and largest law firms.

Formerly, the founder of Eyal Brook law office, a media & entertainment boutique law firm, representing many of Israel’s leading musicians and artists, as well as music technology start-up companies.

Prior to that Eyal was the Head of Legal Affairs and Business Development at Israel’s leading record label, Helicon, involved in all aspects of the musical content industry and handling the recorded music catalogue of Universal in Israel, as well as an impressive array of Israeli talents.

Eyal is a co-founder of “Scentcom”, a start-up company developing cutting-edge digital scent technologies for multimedia and other applications. Scentcom’s technology was elected by Microsoft as one of Israel’s 20 most promising start-ups (2010).

Eyal has been awarded several prestigious scholarships in Israel and the UK.

He is currently a senior research fellow at the Shamgar Center for Digital Law and Innovation at Tel Aviv University. His articles have recently been accepted to publication by leading international law journals. His recent article “The Law of the New Musical Author” has been selected as one of the best articles written in the last year in the Entertainment, Publishing and the Arts.

As a musician, Eyal released two albums and played hundreds of gigs as a member of the bands “Shfiyut Zmanit” (Israel), and “Coppernine” (UK), including such prestigious gigs as supporting supergroup the Cranberries at the National Exhibition Centre (N.E.C) UK, Ronnie Scott’s Songwriters Festival (alongside Coldplay), Birmingham Symphony Hall and many London venues. Eyal was elected as organ scholar at Warwick University.

Eyal is an adjunct professor, teaching various courses relating to law, music and artificial intelligence.

He is an invited speaker in various local and international music conferences. International events included the “Sound of the Xity” Music Festival (China, 2020); Waves Vienna Music Festival (2019); The International Music, Arts and Business Forum (2019).

Eyal is invited regularly to lecture and participate in various conferences about copyright law, music and Artificial intelligence in various institutions in Israel, including Reichman University, Bar Ilan University, ALAI, The College of Management, The Israeli Export Office, BPM College of music, Rimon School of Music, Ariel University, Afeka College, HIT, Shenkar, the Israeli Bar Association.

He has completed his Ph.D studies at the Harry Radzyner Law School, Reichman University (with Excellence), writing about Musical Authorship in the Digital and Algorithmic age, under the supervision of Prof. Lior Zemer and is Reichman University’s first Doctor. He holds an M.Phil degree from the University of Cambridge, LL.M. (Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University and LL.B. from the University of Warwick, where he was the Organ Scholar.
