Head of Industry Research Cooperation at Blavatnik ICRC, Tel Aviv University,Member of the Steering Committee Quantum Research Center, Tel Aviv University. Head of Cryptography & Cybersecurity, MD, State Street, UK. He has been the CEO and Co-Founder of SCsquare Ltd., where he founded a worldwide business for advanced cybersecurity technologies.
Dr. Mendel holds 23 approved patents in the area of cybersecurity, blockchain and ML.
He is a serial cybersecurity entrepreneur. His career in cybersecurity is a unique mixture of broad practical experience and research expertise. His practice included extensive involvement in cybersecurity offensive projects, research and development.
His academic research topics includes: economic perspective of cybersecurity attacks, Post Quantum Cryptography, SMPC (Secure Multi Party Computation), Keys Management, Full Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), Blockchain technology with a special focus on cybersecurity attacks, privacy issues and business continuation under cyber-attack(BCP/DR).
